A couple in Port Harcourt has broke the internet by not doing the usual marriage ceremony. The couple who did their wedding ceremony at Seventh-day Adventist Church, Ruuokwurusi, Port Harcourt, had no reception, bridal train, groomsmen, best man and chief bridesmaid.
The church page shared a photo of the couple and wrote;
An interesting wedding today at Seventh-day Adventist Church Ruuokwurusi.

#No_chief_bridesmaid.
At the end all were given their food packs and dispersed from the church to their homes. There are lots of lessons to be learnt from this. A lot of savings made. A very wise, realistic and practical wedding today. Food for thought for those who are planning their weddings ahead.

A 46 years old construction worker from East China, Zhu Zhongfa, ingested the eggs of the parasite Taenia solium, better known as the pork tapeworm, from his dinner.
More than 700 tapeworms were found in a man’s body, including his brain and lungs, a month after eating uncooked pork, according to Daily Mail.
Zhu Zhongfa, 46, ingested the eggs of the parasite Taenia solium – better known as the pork tapeworm – from his dinner.
When he went to hospital, he was foaming from the mouth and lost consciousness, local reports said.
Doctors said the worm larvae had entered the man’s body through his digestive system and then made their way to his brain through the bloodstream.
Symptoms such as chronic headaches, blindness, seizures and dementia followed but may not appear for years after ingesting the eggs.
Dr Huang Jianrong from the Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, ordered brain and chest MRI scans.
It is still unclear whether the man identified only as Zhu will suffer any long-term effects from the tapeworm infection.

Babcock University came under attack yesterday over the expulsion of the female student caught having sex in a video that has since gone viral.
The expulsion of the lady has since stirred reactions from Nigerians on social media.
Some queried the decision of the institution in expelling the lady after Babcock admitted that the act did not take place at the school premises.
It might displease you to know that Babcock as an entity (a going concern), has that right to disassociate themselves from anyone or anything that brings them to DISREPUTE.
Right now it doesn’t matter to Babcock the location it took place, if it was consensual- got LEAKED or not. What matters to them is that they are currently being linked to it. That is bad publicity for the school.
I will like to introduce us all to a kind of risk in business – REPUTATIONAL RISK.
Reputation(al) risk is a threat or danger to the good name or standing of a business or entity.
It can occur in the following ways
-Directly, as the result of the actions of the organization itself.
-Indirectly, due to the actions of an employee or employees. In this case, staff and students.
-Tangentially, through other peripheral parties, such as joint venture partners or suppliers.
This risk can quickly spiral into liquidity risk but we won’t go into that today. Just know that organizations take it VERY SERIOUSLY.
You say it is not Babcock’s business, but this whole matter has been going on and not once has the name of the student been mentioned. Is it Babcock that had sex? The code word has been BABCOCK.

Babcock has been trending on porn sites and social media pages for all the wrong reasons.
We sympathize with the girl for whatever trauma she is going through, but we should also understand Babcock had to do what is best for its reputation and BUSINESS.
-Lets also take a minute to think of what the school is going through. What of the girls in the school? Would they face possible stereotypes as swallowers?
To be sure I am not talking nonsense. I tried to get my admission letter, I couldn’t (probably tucked away somewhere), but I saw my employment letter. The attached image is an excerpt from it;
We know it is your personal life, but Igbos have an adage “mad man no get shame, na im people dey shame on im behalf” (paraphrased in English). So, while going about your personal life, think about the people you are associated with – family, friends, work, religious bodies…etc. Your actions goes a long way in affecting them- positively or negatively.
Please, as long as you can be IDENTIFIED and have it directly linked to you, think twice.

The management of Babcock University has released a statement concerning the leaked sex tape involving two of its former students.
In a video that sparked reaction on social media on Wednesday, a male and female student of the missionary school were seen having sex in a hospital.
In a statement issued on Wednesday evening, Joshua Suleiman, the varsity’s director, communication and marketing, said the persons involved in the sex tape have since been expelled.
He said, “the boy was expelled from the school in February this year”, while his girlfriend was asked to leave the school shortly after the video broke out some months ago.
“The video above referred is, unfortunately, a sad commentary on the moral decadence that has assailed our society at large, a manner of behaviour that is alien and antithetical to the value of our university. It is not worth a tinge of fascination, but a ground of great concern for all,” the statement read.
“The boy in the video was expelled from Babcock University in February this year after investigation and the due process proved that he was into certain grievous misconducts, the acts for which the university has zero-tolerance.
“His girlfriend in the same video, until the video broke out, a third-year student of accounting of this university. After due process, she was expelled from the university for violation of university rules and regulations.

“The place where the immoral act took place, according to her written statement, was at Saint Bridget Hospital, Abeokuta, Ogun State, where the boy has been undergoing rehabilitation for different destructive addictions. ”
“According to the girl, the incident took place in April this year during school vacation when she visited the boy at the hospital. The act did not take place at Babcock University. ”
“Babcock University remains committed to the highest moral standards and would remain a standard-bearer for quality education in standard character, learning and in service to humanity. Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5.
We find it hard to trust in Him, because we’ve been hurt before.. Because of our failed relationships and broken promises, we tend to transfer the hurt and the fear of been let down again into our relationship with God.
We’ve tried so hard before, and it becomes natural for us to despair and unwilling to try again.. But you can try again, when it seems all is lost don’t be afraid to call; the assurance is given to us in the word. God is not a man that He should lie.. For God cannot lie.. Take note, it is not, He will not lie, the word says ‘He cannot lie’ (the possibility of telling a lie is impossible). Because the God who has promised is faithful. And this is the assurance that God has given to us that call on His name.
There must have been people who had promised but failed, but today, know that the One that has promised is faithful. Though it tarries, it will surely come to pass for His word does not fail.. You can trust again, you can place all your trust in God without fear of been disappointed.
